Our Germ Control UVC air disinfection modules are equipped with 100% quartz linear lamps with a ceramic base and protective one-end domed quartz jacket. The jacket acts as a shield, preventing dust build-up and humidity from reaching the lamp, which can reduce the units effectiveness.
Our units are equipped with an hour totalizer for lamp replacement schedule, an on/off switch and a pilot hole to verify that the unit is functional.
Lamp intensity plays a significant role in determining the overall effectiveness of any Air Purifier / Germ Control unit. Our units measure 9000 micro watts/square cm of UVC intensity on the jacket.
